From a line drawn on the page to a cylinder cast in concrete, what are the consequences of bringing our ideas into the real world? With "Concrete Vitale" and a grant from the American Concrete Institute, my peers and I investigated the integrity of drawings as they became material, structural, and then gallery-installed objects in space.
